Evening descends on the west mesa
wind whipping and whirling like 2 squirrels in a frenzy
Grass waving... grasping at itself
holding tight
clutching the earth to itself
Scared to let go.

A chill is coming. Warm rays sink into the ground
like a blanket covering ones toes in the night.
And the stars come out to play...
